Dr. Danielle Weis, DPT
Dr. Danielle Weis, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy with honors from Columbia University. While attending Columbia, she participated in the Advanced Orthopedic Track. Prior to attending graduate school, Danielle graduated with honors and a B.A. in Biology from Yeshiva University.
Danielle has clinical experience in treating adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a variety of settings, including multiple NYC private practices and New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Hospital’s acute care medical, surgical, and burn units.
Danielle has long possessed a strong interest in biomechanics and the effects of exercise on the human body. She is passionate about treating patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions. In terms of treatment, Danielle believes that every patient’s case is unique and that physical therapy must be customized to suit their needs. She collaborates with each patient to develop their individual goals, and builds personalized rehabilitation programs using a comprehensive, evidence-based approach. She utilizes manual therapy in combination with therapeutic exercise prescription to treat the underlying causes of injury–not just the symptoms–and promote health and wellness.
Danielle is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and is committed to keeping up with timely literature and furthering her learning. She looks forward to accomplishing these goals by enrolling in continuing education courses focused on women’s health, geriatric therapy, and TMJ disorder treatment.
